Curry guide reviewer keeps coming back
October 8, 2007: The Journeyman Restaurant, at Mellingey Mill, near St Issey, Cornwall, is celebrating its inclusion in the 2007 Cobra Good Curry Guide. The guide, written by Curry Club founder and celebrity chef Pat Chapman, is the definitive guide to Indian food in the UK.
Partner and head chef at The Journeyman, Steve Lloyd, said: Were over the moon with our inclusion, especially because were one of a very few non-Indian restaurants included in the whole of the UK.
"We were visited anonymously by one of their leading reviewers two years ago. Hes been back four times since, including twice last month; actually, last time he had a steak which he described as 'superb' so I guess hes as happy as we are!
Steve added: Weve just received a postcard from two of our regulars on holiday in Canada telling us they cant wait for their curries at the end of the month we have to be pleased about testimonials like that. We have a lot of curry-eating regulars with partners who prefer traditional food I guess were a godsend for them."
The restaurant, which has see its business grow 60% in 2 years has recently launched its new website which includes full menus, customer reviews and recipes.
