Get a grip of your beer with new style glass

4Beer drinkers are familiar with nonic and tulip glasses, and, of course, the traditional dimpled handled glass, but J W Lees have introduced a new twist in glassware — the grip glass.

The glass has grooves set into it which fit ones fingers in the position they usually are around the glass, the theory being, of course, that one is less likely to drop the glass.

I've tried it and I have to say, yes, it works and it feels comfortable. But, call me an old traditionalist — I wouldn't want to be using on every day.

Make up your own mind, though, by checking out the J W Lees website to find out more about the glass and see a promotional video.
