July 4 to 6: American themed weekend at the White Horse, Parsons Green, London, with US food, music, dancing and, of course, beer. See story

34 Bridge Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
PE16 6RN. Featuring beers from Tom Wood, Archers, Nethergate, Oakham and
Humpty Dumpty (including a 9.2% ABV 10th anniversary special). Also ciders

July 5: Rock 'n' Roll Beerfest 2008 Back to the Roots at Landulph Memorial Hall, Cargreen, near Saltash, Cornwall. Tickets priced at £22.50 limited to 290. High quality real ales from Cornish microbreweries at £1.50 per pint. Hog roast, barbecue and fully licensed bar. Six bands blues, country, rock, jive and, of course, rock 'n' roll. July 5: Irving & Co Brewery tour, Unit G1, Railway Triangle Industrial Estate, Walton Road, Portsmouth PO6 1TQ. The chance to look around one of the UK's newest breweries. July 16 to 20: The first Greenwich Beer and Jazz
Festival in the King Charles Gardens at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich,
London, supported by the Nelson and Meantime breweries. More than 140
real ales, lagers, ciders and bottled beers. Opening times, noon to 10.30pm;

July 17 to 20: The 2008 Cambirdge Rock Festival
incorporating the Rockinbeerfest, at Wood Green Animal Shelter, Godmanchester,
Cambridgeshire. Four days of music with a 70-ale beer festival on site.
There's also the chance to get a 'festival firkin' which holds 72 pints

July 18 to 20: Lizard 2000 Beer Festival at the Community Centre, Helston, Cornwall. Always a good range of Cornish beers.

August 15 to 17: The third annual Buckland Beer Festival at the Buckland Showground, the Bell Inn, Buckland, Buckland Dinham, near Frome, Somerset BA11 2QT. More than 100 beers, ciders, wines and lagers. Hot and cold food, stalls and displays, limited camping and entertainment including The Wurzels. August 16: Fleet Beer Festival at the Ancells Farm Community Centre, Fleet, Hampshire GU51 2XF. 10 minutes walk from Fleet railway station. Supported by Banks & Taylor Brewery Shefford Ales, the event is raising money for Leukeamia Care and local charities. 24 beers at £2 a pint, plus locally produced cider and English wines. September 5 to 7: Belgiums most famous breweries showcase their finest beer at the Grand Place in Brussels for the Belgium Beer Weekend. The festival opens to the public after 6pm on Friday 5th and includes a display of historical brewery carts and a procession through the streets of Brussels. September 12 and 13: Hinckley CAMRA Beer Festival at the Masonic Hall, St Mary's Road, Hinckley LE10 1EQ. More than 40 real ales, plus ciders, perries and fruit wines. Souvenir glasses £2 (refundable), with free programme. Opening times: Friday, 11am to 3pm, and 5pm to 11pm; Saturday, noon to 11pm.
