March 11 to 13: the 20th Sussex Beer and Cider Festival at the Hove Centre, Hove. Full preview
March 12 and 13: 'Drink the Legends', the Overton Beer Festival, at St Luke's Hall, Winchester Street, Overton, Hampshire. About 30 beers with a legendary theme, plus ciders. Music on Saturday evening. March 12 to 14: mini-beer festival at the Driftwood Spars, St Agnes, Cornwall. Friay night is ladies' night, raising money for Help for Heroes, and there will be music. More details on 01872 552428 or click www.driftwoodspars.com
March 18 to 20: Leeds Beer, Cider and Perry Festival at Pudsey Civic Hall, Dawsons Corner, Leeds LS28 5TA. About 150 beers linked by the theme of the seaside, so expect to see plenty from coastal brewers. Admission times and prices: Thursday, 11am to 3pm, free; 5 to 11pm, £3; Friday, 11am to 3pm, free; 5 to 11pm, £4; Saturday, 11am to 4pm, £3; 6 to 11pm, £3. Entrance free to CAMRA members at all times. Students enter free on Thursday evening on production of a valid NUS card.
March 18 to 20: 'Booze on the Ouse', the St Neots Beer Festival, at the Priory Centre, Priory Lane, St Neots. More than 50 real ales, plus foreign beers and ciders. More information at the Huntingdon CAMRA website.
March 18 to 21: Kelham Island and the Fat Cat Spring Beer Festival, in the car park of the Fat Cat, 23 Alma Street, Sheffield. Between 80 and 120 spring ales, as well as ciders, perries, lagers and wines. Hot and cold food, plus live entertainment. Sessions: Thursday to Saturday, noon to 11pm; Sunday, noon to 7pm.
March 22: Belgian beer tasting at the Talbot Taphouse, 1 Butterley Hill, Ripley, Derbyshire. Duvel Moortgat will be presenting 10 beers from its three breweries. More details and tickets from Andy at the pub on 01773 742626.
April 30 to May 2: the first Gateshead Beer Festival at Gateshead Rugby Club, Eastwood Gardens, Low Fell, Gateshead. Beers from all over the UK, plus ciders. Live entertainment, plus food, including a hog roast. More information nearer the time at www.gatesheadbeerfestival.co.uk
May 20 to 22: Real Ale, Food and Music Festival at Dewsbury Town Hall, Dewsbury, organised by the Heavy Woollen District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale. 70 real ales and 10 real ciders, plus Belgian beers. Features include a women brewsters' bar, Girls' Guide to Beer tasting session, hot and cold food and live music. There will also be anniversary events marking 35 years since the first Dewsbury Beer Exhibition in 1975, including a reunion and photography display. Sessions times: Thursday,4 to 6pm 9CAMRA members only) and 6 to 10.30pm; Friday and Saturday, noon to 5pm, and 5 to 10.30pm. More details at the excellent festival website.
June 4 and 5: St Ives Beer Festival, at the Guildhall, Street-an-Pol, St Ives, Cornwall, organised by the Cornwall branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.
June 18 to 20: Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, at various venues around the port. Sponsored by Skinner's, who will be providing the organisation with 2,000 pints of beer as part of the deal.
June 19: the first ever Clifford Beer Festival at Clifford Village Hall, Albion Street, Clifford LS23 6HY. A wide selection of real ales, with Yorkshire breweries featuring strongly, including three unique ales created specially for the event. There will also be wine, ciderand soft drinks, as well as snack food, plus entertainment. To find out more, visit the festival website.
October 22 and 23: Falmouth Beer Festival, at the Princess Pavilion, Falmouth, Cornwall, organised by the Cornwall branch of the Campaign for Real Ale.
