Suffolk Springer is new premium dark ale
November 12, 2009: Greene King Suffolk Springer (6%) is a new premium dark ale crafted using a little-used English brewing method. In honour of Suffolk and its famous Newmarket racecourse, this very special beer gets its name from the racing term Springer a racehorse whose odds dramatically shorten before the race. It is available from Sainsburys and Morrisons.
Fursty Ferret now available in a four-pack

ASDA takes Keltek brews in Cornish stores
October 3, 2009: Keltek Brewery, in Redrth, Cornwall,
has won a contract to supply regional ASDA stores with its Magik and King
ales. Trystan Grace, marketing assistant at the brewery, said: "ASDA
have had a real push recently to try to stock local stores with local
produce, in a bid to support local business and decrease the carbon miles
of the products they have for sale. Since our beers are brewed and bottled
in Cornwall we fit the bill perfectly." Cornish ASDA stores currently
stocking the ales are Penryn, Bodmin and St Austell.
Skinner's goes national in Waitrose with Stogs
September 3, 2009: Cornish brewery Skinner's is celebrating after its flagship ale, Betty Stogs, was awarded a 144-store national listing with Waitrose. It's the first time the beer will be available in stores nationwide for a major multi-national superstore chain. More
