Barracuda buys a £150 million round

March 22, 2006: The Barracuda Group has placed new contracts for its beer, wine and spirit requirements in deals worth a total of £150m over the next three years.

Effective from March 2006, the contracts are with leading drinks suppliers Scottish Courage, InBev, Carlsberg Tetley, Coors and Matthew Clark and will offer a great set of premium brands to Barracuda customers across its 180-strong estate.

Chief executive Mark McQuater, said: "These arrangements will enable us to offer customers a first-class range of premium brands and further demonstrate Barracuda’s commitment to provide high quality choices for our customers.”
