Breconshire Brewery Ltd, Ffrwdgrech Industrial Estate, Brecon, Powys LD3 8LA (012874 623731) Website

Founded in 2002, the 10-barrel brewery is part of beer wholesaler C H Marlow. Head brewer is Justin Grant, who was with Brakspear when it was in Henley-on-Thames. The beers have won a number of awards, including champion beer of Wales 2004.

Regular beers: Brecon County Ale (3.7%), Golden Valley (4.2%), Ramblers Ruin (5%), Red Dragon (4.7%)

Seasonal beers: Green Dragon (4.6%, September), Winter Beacon (5.3%, November to February)

Bottled beers: Golden Valley (4.2%), Ramblers Ruin (5%), Red Dragon (4.7%)
