VENTNOR

Admiral's Ale (4%): Wow! Hoppy (Goldings and Challenger) and dry enough to make your tastebuds stand up and salute. There's more of the malt in the aroma, but from then on it's hop, hop, hop. I made the mistake of chilling it too much; when it warmed up a bit, more depth of peppery hop flavour came out. Very refreshing. (DN)
Antifreeze (5.2%): If you like spicy, Christmassy beers with a good heartening festive aroma about them, this is or you. One of those 'Christmas cake in a glass' beers that packs a good punch. (DN)
