PALMER'S
Best Bitter (4.2%), Copper Ale (3.7%), Dorset Gold
(4.5%)
Palmers 200 Premium Ale (5%): Marmalade aroma with some grassy hop
notes. There's a citrus and marmalade taste, plus some biscuity malt,
with the finish drying out a little. At 5% it's not a session beer, yet
it is a good thirst-quencher. (DN: 24-06-07)
Tally Ho (5.5%): A dark brown winter brew from Dorset with an intense
fruity taste and aftertaste. Worthy bronze winner at the 2005 Exeter Festival
of Winter Ales. (DN)
PARADISE
Dabbers Wheat (5%), Farmers Favourite (4%), Mild (3.6%), Nantwich Ale (5.6%)
PEAK ALES
Bakewell Best Bitter (4.2%), Swift Nick (3.8%)
POTBELLY
Beijing Black (4.4%)
A strong dark mild with plenty of taste, chocolate and roast malt notes
aplenty, but not too sweet. Very drinkable and moreish. SIBA's national
champion mild in 2006 and 2007, and supreme champion beer in 2006.
(DN: 25-01-08)
Pigs Do Fly (4.4%): A single-hop (Sty-rian Golding) beer, light, smooth
and very drinkable. It was originally brewed as a special for the Leicester
Beer Festival, marking Potbelly's first anniversary.
